1. Call to Order/Roll Call
Michelle Dhunjishah called the meeting to order, welcomed everyone and asked all to introduce themselves.

2. Approval of October 3, 2008 Minutes
A motion was made to adopt the minutes from October 3, 2008 meeting, the motion was seconded and the minutes were unanimously approved.

3. Old Business

a. Bar Convention 2010 Update
Michelle Dhunjishah reported that she had contacted Ashlin Potterfield from the Family Law Section in regard to partnering with them to supplement a workshop at the 2010 Bar Convention. Michelle Dhunjishah is waiting for feed back. Members of the Committee stated that they would like to sponsor a CLE whether or not the Family Law Section partners with them.

b. Legislative Subcommittee Update
The legislative subcommittee met on October 20, 2008. Several areas of legislature were discussed.

SC Code Ann. 63-7-1620:
After discussion about changing the language in SC Code Ann. 63-7-1620, the Committee decided not to act at this time and to wait to see what changes the Children’s Law Center may come up with.

SC Code Section 16-17- 420 (Disturbing Schools):
Committee moved to adopt proposed legislation and will forward to the Board of Governors or the House of Delegates for Bar approval.

SC Code Section 63-19-1020
Committee moved to adopt proposed legislation and will forward to the Board of Governors or the House of Delegates for Bar approval.

Driver’s License for Foster Children
No report at this time

Registration of juveniles on sex offender registry
Brett Lamb reported that she is researching the issue.

Punitive Father Registry
No report at this time.

4. New Business
There was no new business.
