Hotel Reservation Deadline
Hotel reservations must be made by December 21, 2009, to ensure availability at the group rate. Download the printable reservation form or call (800) 654-2924 and reference the South Car­olina Bar Convention (booking# 6116) in order to receive the negotiated meeting rate. Reservations received after the deadline will be subject to space availability.

Registering is Easy!
Why not register online? To get started, visit www.scbar.org/convention. Or, mail or fax your completed registration form along with a check or credit card information to the South Carolina Bar CLE Division. Registrations without pay­ment information will NOT be processed. To take advantage of the early bird discount ($50 off the regular registration fee), your form AND payment must be received in the CLE Division by December 15, 2009. Registrations received after this date will be subject to the regular registration fee. All Convention registrations must be received in the CLE Division NO LATER THAN noon on January 7, 2010. After this date, you must register at the door at an additional $50 charge. Convention registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Registrations will not be accepted by phone.

Your Registration Includes:

• Admission to all Convention seminars with 14 hours of MCLE credit including up to 2.0 LEPR credit hours, enough to fulfill your entire annual requirement at one low price.
• Admission Thursday through Saturday to the Exhibit Showcase, featuring more than 30 vendors with new products and services to support your practice and enhance your lifestyle.
• Complimentary continental breakfast on Friday and Saturday, buffet breakfast on Sunday and refresh­ment breaks.
• Free admission to Memory Hold the Door, Pres­ident’s Welcome Reception and Judicial Reception.
• The option to purchase tickets to the Plenary Luncheon, Wine Tasting events, Oyster Roast/Lowcountry Boil and other activities.
• All CLE seminar materials on a flash drive, exhibitor giveaways and a complimentary Convention t-shirt.
• Convention Survival Guide notebook featuring the Convention schedule, exhibitor/sponsor directory and hotel map, as well as pages for note taking.

Pricing Options
Customize the CLE seminars to meet your needs! Choose the “A La Carte” Registration, which allows you to pick one or two CLE programs and save. Note: If registering for seminars only, you are not eligible to attend any other Convention events.

Refunds 
Refunds, less $100 for administrative processing fee, will be made for cancellations received in writing by 5 p.m. on January 7, 2010. No refunds for Convention registration or event tickets will be issued after January 7.

Ticketed Functions
You must register for the Convention to attend or par­ticipate in any of the ticketed functions. Late purchase of tickets may not be possible due to seating capacities. Note: No one will be admitted to a ticketed event without a ticket.

First-Time Attendees
First-time attendees are invited to a breakfast in their honor on Friday, January 22. Please indicate if you will be attending on the registration form.

Name Badges
You and your spouse/guest should wear your badge at all Convention functions. Your badge is your admission to all CLE programs and non-ticketed events.

Spouse/Guest
Spouses and guests are cordially invited to attend all business and complimen­tary social sessions. If a ticket is required for an event, please purchase it in advance. The Convention promises something for everyone.

Dress
Business casual dress is encouraged for all events. Please note that seminar venues may be cool, so you may wish to bring a jacket or sweater.

Children
For babysitting services, please contact Kiawah Island Golf Resort Babysitting Services. The service is for infants and older and should be arranged in advance. Ask for more information when you check in to the resort (hotel or villa).

Shuttle Transportation
Kiawah Island provides on-island transportation. Please be sure to call 15-30 minutes prior to your departure to ensure you will be at your destination on time. Simply call ext. 82900 from yourroom or villa to request a complimentary ride to any location on Kiawah.

The Sanctuary Spa
Resort spa, salon and fitness appointments may be scheduled by visiting the Spa Reception Desk or by calling (843) 768-6340 (or dial 86340 on-island) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Please call to schedule appointments. You may also contact the spa via e-mail: spareservations@kiawahresort.com  (general questions only). The fitness facility is for the use of hotel guests only.
