Service to the Public
CINDERELLA PROJECT
This initiative began eight years ago and is one of the Division's most popular projects. The Cinderella Project involves gathering donations of gently worn formal gowns, shoes and accessories for socially and economically disadvantaged high school students. Students from area high schools are invited to attend a boutique held in the spring to "shop" for a dress and other items at no cost.

DONE IN A DAY COMMITTEE
This committee is geared toward lawyers who want to be involved but have time constraints that prevent them from participating in the traditional sense. Done in a Day projects allow young lawyers to participate in hobby-oriented service while deciding the amount of time they will devote. This committee rewards many by accomplishing a balance between service to the public and relaxation to the individual lawyer. Projects will include a Backpack Drive, Secure the Call and Wills Clinics. This committee also plans to collaborate with various organizations to send care packages to troops overseas.
Backpack Drive??"A collection of new backpacks, school supplies and other educational items to be donated to needy children.
Secure the Call??"A collection of used cells phones as well as batteries, chargers and other accessories that will be redistributed throughout the community to various organizations such as battered women's shelters, senior citizens' centers, etc.
Wills Clinics??"Provide free wills for first response personnel, which includes police officers, firefighters and EMS. During a clinic, attorneys in their local venue, usually at a fire department or police station, set up workstations to provide this service. Clinics are and will be scheduled throughout various regions in the state several times a year.
