Section Goals:
1. Sponsor a Section seminar and Council/Faculty dinner in conjunction with the SC Bar Convention.
2. Continue to publish a bi-annual newsletter and distribute through the Section listserv and post on the Bar website.
3. Continue to inform Section members of significant developments on local and state tax laws through the Section listserv and post on the Bar Web site.
4. Continue to actively promote and support the joint NC/SC Tax Law Section Workshop.

SC CLE Credit: This program has been approved for 10.0 MCLE credit hours, including up to 1.0 LEPR hour, by the S.C. Supreme Court Commission on CLE and Specialization. The Commission has also approved for up to 10.0 hours of Taxation Law specialization credit.
Hotel: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The rates range from approximately $229 to $396 per night. For reservations, please contact the hotel directly by calling (800) 654-2924 and mention you are with the NC/SC Bar. The deadline to receive the discounted rate is May 2.

Resort Reservation Information:
A block of villas has been reserved at Kiawah Island Resort’s East and West Beaches. The program will be held at Turtle Point Clubhouse at East Beach. East Beach one-bedroom scenic villas are $281 per night plus tax and West Beach one-bedroom scenic villas are $250 per night plus tax (the rates include on island transportation). For reservations, please call 800-654-2924 and request the reservations department and mention the SC Bar-Estate Planning Workshop, booking code 9628. Reservations must be made by June 11, 2013, to guarantee availability.
