Starting in 2009 with the publication of his first book Social Media for Lawyers: Twitter Edition (ARG Group) he asked the question, can lawyers use social media to build high value relationships and make it rain?\n \nOver the two years since his first book was written, Adrian has had a chance to test and prove that hypothesis working with some of the largest and most well respected law firms in the United States. He has worked on strategic planning and long term implementation with Global 100 law firms, mid-sized firms in the AmLaw 250 as well as firms across Australia. Many of the lessons learned over this time are included in his latest book LinkedIn & Blogs for Lawyers: Building High Value Relationships in a Digital Age co-written by Amy Knapp.\n \nWhile spending a month in Australia and New Zealand in 2010 and 2011, Adrian spoke with hundreds of Australian lawyers through talks at Law Societies and to organizations like the ANZ Bank in Sydney and the IRD in Wellington, New Zealand. Over the past year he has also spoken and presented in Rome, Italy; Toronto, Canada; Auckland, New Zealand; Melbourne, Australia; and in multiple locations across the United States.\n \nAdrian is a non-practicing lawyer living in Amherst, New York. His first job out of law school was practicing corporate law for a mid-sized firm in Western New York, but in the Spring of 2009 he was a casualty of the economic downturn. A few months later, in the Fall of 2009 his first book was published by the ARK Group. Since that time, he has spent the majority of his efforts consulting and training law firms across the country. He has a passion for writing and is currently a weekly columnist for the National Law Journal and monthly writer for Technolawyer’s BigLaw Newsletter. Adrian is also a frequent keynote speaker and facilitator at law firm lunches, partner meetings, and retreats. You can find Adrian on LinkedIn at http://linkedin.com/in/adriandayton or on Twitter @adriandayton. \n\n\n\n\n \n \nABOUT THE FACILITATOR:\nBrenda Stewart brings more than twenty-seven years of legal experience to Stewart Marketing & Consulting. Her deep “inside knowledge” of law firm administration, management and marketing is combined with “outside perspective” to help a attorneys in firms of all sizes advance their strategic initiatives and goals.\n \nBrenda’s knowledge of business operations, client service issues and marketing expertise helps attorneys avoid getting bogged down by the demands of day to day operations and overcome resistance to new ideas and initiatives. In her own legal management career, she directed the successful implementation of strategies and programs for client retention, firm wide initiatives, practice group marketing and individual attorney marketing plans.\n \nAs a former Director of Marketing and Client Services for a leading Southeastern law firm, Brenda was responsible for establishing firm wide marketing standards and branding guidelines, coordinating business development efforts, firm advertising and public relations, practice group support, and internal training in all aspects of marketing and client service. During her years of administrative management, she was actively involved in strategic planning, major office renovations and moves, name and branding changes, personnel management, committee formation and direction, client service reviews, the development of in-house training programs, merger evaluations and the merger of two firms.\n \nBrenda’s marketing proficiency includes development of print collateral material, such as brochures, newsletters and advertisements, as well as website, online communications and email campaigns. \n \nBrenda is a dynamic speaker, providing both insight and inspiration to her audience. She has been a speaker at professional conferences or meetings on a variety of topics. She is also wonderfully effective one-on-one, with experience coaching attorneys, administrative staff members, and lateral hires.\n \nAll registrants for this bootcamp will receive a courtesy coaching session scheduled to take place 4-6 weeks after the course. This courtesy coaching session will be used to assist attorneys with continued development of their individual marketing action plans.\n \n\n\n\n var mag = new TinyCatalog(495976, "eSCB-1030_Rainmaking"); mag.setBackgroundColor("#FFFFFF"); mag.setSize(260, 195); // Change line below to link to an url // mag.setLaunchURL("http://www.dom.tld"); // mag.setTarget("_self"); mag.draw();
